# Members and seats

> Invite members and manage seats.

The members page shows who has access to the workspace, their role, and pending invitations.

## Seats

Paid business workspaces have a seat count. A seat is used by an active member. Pending invitations may also affect seat planning, because those users can become active members when they accept.

Use `Edit seats` on the plan page when you need more seats.

## Invite members

Open the members page and invite users by email. Choose the role that matches the access they need.

If the user does not already have a BehavIQ account, they create one while accepting the invitation. After sign-in, they join the invited workspace with the selected role.

## Pending invitations

Pending invitations show users who have been invited but have not accepted yet.

If someone cannot see an invitation, check that the email address matches the one they use to sign in.

## Role changes

Admins can change member roles when they have permission to manage members.
